Claims adjuster

I was injured at Walmart on July 17, 2024. I filed a claim at Walmart and they said the claims adjuster would call me, they never did.

I have tried to call several times, was on hold yesterday 45 minutes than got disconnected, on hold today so far for 40 minutes and counting. I really do not want to get an attorney involved and go through all the rigamarol but this is ridiculous

No Call Back

In February, I had my local Walmart change the oil and rotate my tires. Not only did they break off one of my bolts and not tell me, but they also left the entire passenger side lug nuts loose to the point that one of them fell off in my driveway.

I wouldn't have noticed it if it weren't for my father finding it in the driveway.

No one has even called me. I have left message after message and email after email.

It has been some years back. Now I 'm having to use a cane ,when having far to go. The lawn chair a swivel rocker, was on display.

I sat in it and fell to the floor. The associate who witnessed it, laughed at me and did not come my aid. Now my quality of life is severely diminished.

Prognosis is that I have a disc fusion procedure. What say you?

Resolved: Wheels Damaged at Walmart

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Updated by user Apr 30, 2024

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. Stayed on the phone for one hour and a quarter.

Finally a claims rep.

came on…offered a partial monetary settlement. I begrudgingly agreed, as, I had waisted enough time and energy on getting partial reimbursement.

Original review Apr 15, 2024

Wheels were damaged while installing new tires at a Walmart car service center...Claim was processed by the local Walmart Store. Several days later a claims adjuster contacted me and offered to resolve the damage on his terms.

Talked over me..refused to offer any type of settlement or agreed figure. He now ignores my calls and Emails...This company obviously doesn't monitor its claims adjusters or their dealings with customers...Time for another call to Walmart Customer Care.

Automotive claim

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Started claim 4 weeks ago after Walmart damaged my vehicle during a routine maintenance. The process to complete the claim in store took long as to be expected with Walmart however got a call fairly quickly afterwards and thought that was promising until 4 weeks later I have been without my personal vehicle as they drag out the process and have no urgency whatsoever to complete the matter.

Getting an answer from this company is extremely difficult.

Poor communication poor service get a lawyer and allow them to handle the case properly. These people should loose their jobs for the neglect.

Why is Wal-Mart not responding to me about the accident that happened in their store

Had a glass candle fall off the shelf and hit my shinbone resulting in a seriously hard hit to my shinbone while I was inside walmart on October 31, 2022. I have received 1 phone calls.

I have called going on week 3 and no response even after 50 voice-mail left from me.

Not understanding what I need to do. I have gone to the hospital because of the injury and starting to get very pissed that they are not responding

Where do I start well first off I am not happy! CMI is a joke...

I've been on hold for two hours trying to just contact somebody at CMI. All week I've been calling the person that I was given to Zack and his extension but he won't even answer his phone. I'm just trying to figure out what's going to happen with my car after one of your workers hit my car with a shopping cart!

it's been a week and I have not even figured out what's going to happen! So I'm not happy.

To whom it may concern:

Hello, my name is CarI. I'm writing to you in regards to the not only poor services I received as well as negligence at Wal-mart store as well as the insurance company on behalf of Wal-mart.

On 2/2/20 I went to the Port Orchard Walmart around 1:30-2:00pm to have a oil change done on my Scion. I remember this date because, it was Superbowl Sunday. Also I'm a die hard 49ers fan. Knowing that oil change at Wal-mart doesn't take long, I stopped in to have it done so I could get home to watch the game.

After my car was completed I went about my day. Went home to watch the Superbowl. The following Tuesday 2/4/2020 I went to work as normal. As I exited the freeway onto the off ramp, where here in Washington heading to Sea-tac air port the road comes to a Y.

To the left is Buiern Sea-tac airport. To the right I-405. As I stay in the left lane to head to work, as I was going around the corner, I noticed my check oil light came on. Thought, kinda odd since I just had my oil changed.

As I completed the turn the oil light went off. So I had just assumed it was because of the turn. Continue my way to work. As I approached the security gate of the employee parking for Sea-tac airport, I reached into my center console of my car to get my parking badge.

I discover it wasn't there. I than check my glove compartment. It wasn't there as well. I searched my car completely.

It was not there. Being that my parking badge only works at Seatac airport and only for the employee parking the badge never leave the car. There's no reason to. I store it in 1 of 2 places.

The glove compartment or the center console. After every use I place it back in 1 of those 2 spots. Coming and leaving work. I was able to be let in by the guard who verified I was a Sea-tac employee.

And went to work. On the way home the guard hit the button to let me leave and I went home. Once I arrived home, i tore my house up looking for my badge. From top to bottom.

As stated my badge only works in one place therefore there's no need for it to leave my car. However i looked in my house anyways. 2 hours i searched and nothing. Went out to my car and searched.

Nothing. How did my badge disappear? As I continued to search my car specifically my center console and glove compartment I notice something else was odd. I kept a small ziplock bag in the glove compartment.

Inside is random changes I put in the ziplock after I make a purchase anywhere using cash. The bag was halfway full with coins, quarters, dimes, nickels, pennies. But what makes this different is there was also 10.00 dollars in 2.00 dollar bill's that had gotten one day from one of the ferry's. My mother collects them, so when I saw them at the ferry awhile back I exchanged a 10.00 dollar bill for them.

Put them in the ziplock. Aslo missing was a smart watch color rose I had bought for my youngest daughter who lives in Yuma. It was her very late Christmas gift I was mailing to her. From that point somehow someone got a hold of my keys.

My keys never leave my pant loop unless I'm at home or at work. And when I'm at I took my keys off and put them in my locker and lock it. Than after work they go back on my belt loop. I retraced my steps from Tuesday realizing the only time I didn't have my keys was when I was getting my oil changed.

By this time is well after 7pm and the automotive is closed. However I did return to the Port Orchard Walmart that night. And not 14-17 days later as the insurance rep for Walmart stated. I spoke with a manager there named Liz and explained to her that I had had my oil changed 2/2/2020.

And that some items were messing from my car. I informed her I understand the automotive is called. And if she could leave a message for the automotive manager (Paul) if perhaps he could check the camera's to see if maybe I drop the items out of my car and didn't notice. Or if I did and didnt notice if perhaps someone or an employee picked them up and placed them in the lost and found.

She said she would leave a message for Paul. I thanked her and went home. Next few days I started to notice my check oil light coming on more and more often. I would check the dip stick and it would be low on oil.

I would add oil to my car however it seemed like every 3-4 days I was adding oil to my car. On 2/22/20 I was in Bremerton Wa and close to Walmart. It was a few minutes before the automotive open so I stopped in. I asked the employees if they wouldn't mind just checking my car for me.

I explain to them I had just had an oil change done on the 2nd at the Port Orchard location. But the light keeps coming on. And I'm adding oil seem liked every 3-4 days. So one employee had me bring my car into the bay, while the other went below to look at the underside.

The employee that guided me into the bay open the hood and check my car. And hes next words was a total shock. He informed me that my car was completely dry. As if there was never oil in it.

I'm stunned. He ask when was the last time I did an oil change. Told him Superbowl Sunday. 2/2/20 at Port Orchard Walmart.

The employee underneath says he didn't notice any big cracks or leaks that he could see. The three of us go inside to the computer and check the records. Which shows I had stop in to have a oil change. Both employees stated there's no way my car should be that dry that soon unless they didn't do the oil change properly.

One employee proceeds to call the on duty manager to come to automotive. They both explain to the manager the situation, the oil change at another store, how dry it is. As if if wasn't done. The manager tells them to do whatever you have to do to fix it.

And afterwards call me back so Mr. Horn and I can call over to Port Orchard and tell them the situation. Also to keep the receipt so he could have the store pay for it. No charge to Mr.

Horn. After the oil change was done the employee called the manager back to automotive. When he arrived they handed him the receipt. I thanked them for fixing it.

Me and the manager than called Port Orchard Walmart. He explained what happen and that after the call I was heading to Port Orchard Walmart. After the call I thanked him. And headed to Port Orchard.

Once I got to Port Orchard I asked for the Store Manager. He wasn't there but an assistant manager came. I explain to him the situation. We both head to automotive and he finds Paul ( automotive manager) As the manager explains to Paul what has happen, Paul informs me that there wasn't a message left for him about the missing item from my car.

He says we can check the cameras. But it will be a few days. And we can do another oil change. No charge.

Inform him it's already been done. And I just want to know if the items I'm missing happen to fall out and was taken to lost and found. If someone picked them up if I did. Just something.

He said he would check them. A few days later the store Manager from Port Orchard Walmart (Doug) called me and ask if i would like to file a claim. I said yes and we started the process. After i submitted pictures paperwork and receipt for the insurance company they denied my claim.

As of (4/4/20) I now have to get a new engine for me car. Because there is eternal engine knocking. The cost to fix it was well over 5,000 dollars. This has gotten me very upset.

Because I paid for a service that obviously wasn't done. Than was told by Wal-Mart insurance company that my claim was being denied because they weren't at fault. I find it hard to believe that first my car has no oil in it after paying for a service, items missing from my car and now my engine is pretty dead and the insurance company doing everything they can to place blame on me. The agent I spoke too even said to me were not going to replace a few dollars that were in a bag.

Im sorry I don't care if its 2 pennies in my car The point is its in my car it belongs to me and it should stay there. I had to get a new parking badge for work. Now either look for a new car. Look for a new engine.

Or sell the car still have to look for a new car that im still making payments on. I'm just like most people in today's world. I struggle day by day. Im a single father to 4 kids.

3 which live here. I work 60 hours a week just to stay afloat. I have bills to pay daycare child support car payments and such. My car is the one item I make sure I do all I can to get it up and running.

Because it gets me to and from my job. My job that pays me so I can take care of and support my family. I don't have 5,000 dollars just laying around. I work my butt off day in and day out.

And I pay for a service to be done and it wasn't and all im told its my fault. Really? Now I have to figure some way to come up with the funds to either get a new engine or a new car. And do it quickly.

Because I still got to get to work. And without a car I fear its going to be a snowball affect. So yes im very upset. Very angry.

Words can't even describe. I will never step foot into another Wal-mart ever again. The service I received I didn't. The insurance company pointing the blame on me.

Now my car is pretty much unless. And during the current situation the were facing with this Coronavirus it's even now more difficult. Because if somehow I do come up with enough money to pay a new engine, I have to have it shipped. Than have money to find a shop that can swap out the engine.

And do it ASAP. For while I'm sure this insurance agent I spoke to is sitting at home due to the States Stay How order in effect, I'm an essential employee because I work at the airport. And have for the past 4 years. Walmart has sat me back time and money that I just do not have.

And there insurance company made it even harder by denying my claim. Now Im in fear of losing my job because my car needs a new engine. A engine that I can't afford. An engine I wouldn't need had the oil change I paid for been done.

They dropped the ball and now Im paying for it. Bad business. After speaking to the insurance rep and her stating were not gonna replace a few dollars in the car, after her telling me it's normal wear and tear, after her telling me there's no proof any of that was in the car. Even after sending a picture of my check oil light on, or a picture of me holding my daughter's watch in the car, after her saying I want 14-17 days to report it missing.

Which as stated I return to the Port Orchard Walmart the following Tuesday, I asked to speak to her supervisor. Instead she connected me to hes voicemail. I left a voicemail and asked the supervisor (Josh) to please call me back. And on a Friday, because that is my off day.

Since I work Monday thru Thursday from 6am to 430pm. Calls during my work schedule tend to go missed because I'm outside most of the day around airplanes and likely will miss the call. And by the time I get off work to return the call, there already closed. That didn't happen.

The supervisor (Josh) called during the week. During the time I was working and I missed the call. Hes voicemail that he left was he agreed with the agent I spoke with. I called back after work to which they were closed.

Left another voicemail asking to call me on Friday. I still haven't heard from him. Everytime I call I get hes voicemail. I've even left messages on the first agent's voicemail to have her supervisor call me.

I've still haven't heard from either. Now I'm the one stuck trying to figure what I'm going to do. Thanks Walmart and your insurance company for knocking me back 5,000 steps.

If whoever reads this feels the need to want to reach out heres my info.

Im beyond upset. And have no words to even begin to express my frustration.

On June 6, 2023, I brought my car to the Walmart’s on 103rd Street, Jacksonville Florida 32210, for a new battery! Waited over two and half hours to be told that my battery connector were broken and I now need to take it to a shop to have it repaired ASAP because the car would explode or something if I drove it like that!

I then asked for management because I had my car checked out before I brought to get a new battery to see if that was the issue and my connectors were fine! Well a Walmart’s manager wanted to see what could be done so we went to my car and as he went to start it he says my gear is broken!!!! As anybody knows, I drove my car there it was FINE and the mechanic drove inside the garage to CHANGE A SIMPLE BATTERY!!! That took two and half hours!!!

Then the mechanic drives it back to the parking space it was in, so between the garage were it SUPPOSED to get repaired back to the parking space the gear shift gets broken!!! They told my car to a GoodYear’s of my choice to of course to verify that THEY damaged my car!! Well Goodyear verified that the connectors were broken and the gear shifter was also broken when the received the car! On June 8th the claim department from Walmart’s called me to give me a claim number and let me know Mr.

Moises Garcia would be assisting me through this process! One week went by after me sending the documents several times to him with no response! And finally I get someone else, stating she’s was his manager or someone that’ll be handling my case! Send the documents to her no response!

So by this time I’m in for several hundreds dollars for the rental car and the cost for my car repair! Total as I speak $2200! In which I was told via now another claim adjuster I receive an check overnight Tuesday, because of course Monday was a great holiday! It’s now Friday, June 23, and NO OVERNIGHT CHECk!

And another charge for the rental car for another day and now the cost of my car being repaired and after today GoodYear’s storage charges, because my car is now ready for pick up! When you get an email from Walmart’s claim department it’s mission is Respect. Excellence. Integrity.

Service.

With periods after every word to suggest that they are reliable and honest people! I just need my claim satisfied and I will never do business with them again!

There is no compensation for : QUOTE : "almost loosing (sic) my life". Maybe a pittance for your windshield depending upon circumstance, but it won't be enought to cover your deductible yet suffiecient to raise your rates for next year.

Calling repeatedly is useless ; put it in writing and serve via Certified Mail Return Receipt Requested. Good luck.
